Freedom of expression

Freedom of expression is a right that is guaranteed by the Constitution of Japan, but it also determines a certain limit to the freedom. Undoubtedly violation of human rights, such as child pornography and hate speech, should never be allowed. However,  excessive regulation of the expression on the grounds of that a certain expression is “harmful” or “uncomfortable” affects the freedom of expression of the range that is not originally required. MIAU fights for freedom of expression within and outside of the Internet.
