Transparency
The use of information and communication technology to process the data of the government and local governments is essential to improve transparency.
Disclosing the data of governmental institutions and companies as well as local communities enables the citizens to provide various analysis and policy recommendations, and possible improvement of policy is expected. It also encourage the economic development. MIAU is doing advocacy for the promotion of “open data”, “open government”, namely, publicizing the data in a form that can easily be processed by the program.
